- Improve the quality of life of older people in Barcelona by influencing their well-being and that of their families or references.
Older people who live alone often face significant challenges in terms of health, emotional well-being and quality of life. Social isolation and lack of support can contribute to loneliness and depression, negatively affecting your mental and physical health. Additionally, aging brings changes in mobility and the ability to perform everyday tasks, which can make living independently increasingly difficult. In this context, it is essential to provide support to older people who live alone, not only to improve their quality of life, but also to ensure that they can age in a dignified and healthy manner.
Helping older people in their own home and immediate environment is essential to preserve their autonomy and well-being. Concrete actions, such as home cleaning, companionship, and attention to personal hygiene, not only address practical needs, but also offer a sense of connection and emotional security.
From the Roure Foundation they work to improve the quality of life of older people in their own home and in their immediate environment through comprehensive support.
- Providing home help services (cleaning, shopping, pantry control...) to older people in their homes.
- Attention to caregivers and family members.
- Promotion of active aging.
- Neighborhood coordination with social services.
- Follow-up visits to project users.
- Help in bureaucratic procedures.
- Leisure and cultural activities.
The project is aimed at older people with different needs such as: support for chronic illnesses, physical and/or mental disabilities, difficulties in daily activities, without relatives who can take care of them, precarious economic situations and urgent care needs.
