The objective of the project is to promote environmental education and sustainable development in children, young people and families at risk of social exclusion and other groups, in order to train new generations, who with their actions help mitigate the impacts of climate change.
The work of SOS Children's Villages is mainly focused on children, young people and families who are at risk of social exclusion or helplessness. All his actions are designed to generate a positive impact in the lives of the people he serves. In this sense, their responsibility goes beyond daily attention, since it also seeks to promote lifestyle habits that allow them to become responsible citizens with their Environment.
Its objective is to provide a security framework in all areas of life. The care of nature and the earth relates directly to caring for oneself and the closest environment, driving the natural environment as a vehicle for boys, girls, young people and families achieve a development and full and sustainable integration in society, thus becoming proactive actors of social change.
During the development of this project, sensitization, education and training will be promoted. Environmental of users, creating sustainable spaces and offering professional training that integrate the social inclusion of people in a situation of vulnerability with knowledge and respect for the Environment.
For the realization of the project, the following actions will be carried out:
A Rural Day: Educational proposal aimed at schools and collectives.
Hogas Sustainable: Each home sets its own challenges related to saving energy and water, as well as the promotion of recycling.
Little big farmers: Program of activities such as caring for animals, the Planting and reaping, together with environmental awareness actions. social, using the horse and its environment as a therapeutic tool.
Learn in another way: Learning basic subjects through practical activities in the Orchard.
I am a teacher: Initiative that gives protagonism to children within their school group, promoting self-control, expression and a positive attitude towards others.
Cultivation of the garden: Educational tool to transmit values such as effort, respect for nature, cooperation and teamwork.
Camp of Summer: Activity focused on ecology and respect for nature, others and oneself.
The recipients of this project are all those children, young people and families served by one of the SOS Children's Village Programs or derived by public and private entities, which preferably have the character of a population at risk of social exclusion.
