Description

People with disabilities often face various forms of discrimination and social exclusion. Access to art and culture is essential as it gives them the opportunity to express themselves, explore new forms of communication and participate fully in society. They are not only entertainment media, but also powerful tools to promote inclusion, self-esteem and personal development.

At the Setba Foundation they firmly believe that culture is a universal right that should be accessible to all people and they work to contribute to social transformation through culture and art.

Since 2009, they have organized artistic and cultural projects with social value, aimed at groups at risk of exclusion: people who live with mental disorders (Natura es Cultura), women and young people inmates in penitentiary centers (Transpasando el objective and Traspasando walls) and people with intellectual disabilities (Masters and the Setba Prize).

Through this collaboration with Ticketmaster, support will be given to the Magistrales project, a pedagogical project that aims to professionalize the art workshops of entities in the disability sector in Catalonia. A total of 40 entities have participated, such as Fundació Cares, Fundació Catalana Sindrome de Down, CIPO, Asproseat group, Grupo Alba, CO Les Corts, Fundació Ampans, CO Condal and Fundació Caviga, among others.

The project has the collaboration of different professional artists such as Marta Fàbregas, Paula Leiva, Jaime Súnico and Laura Klamburg, who have directed the pedagogical program.
